Carnival 2010 Curaçao
Curaçao is celebrating 40 years of its unique Carnival Seasonal Festivities. There will be many parades for the public to enjoy with the distinctive sound of “Tumba Music”. Tumba is from African origins but nowadays it’s a mixture of meringue, Latin jazz and other Caribbean sounds. Each year a Tumba Festival will be held where a winner will be selected by votes.

We finally made it! Curaçao happens to be the only Caribbean island to make the Top 10. For the past 2 years I have notice that the tourism here on the island has increased drastically and the numbers speak for themselves as well. The Venezuelans come more often due to their necessity. (Read more)
“Enseñansa di Fundeshi” is a mess
Back in 2002 the government of the Netherlands Antilles decided to implement “Enseñansa di Fundeshi” (Foundational Teachings)for the elementary schools on the island of Curaçao. They simply changed the entire educational system. I grew up in Curaçao and believe me when I say that the system was just fine the way it was.
