A British woman claimed over £100,000 in benefits by faking that her son was suffering from cancer. She carefully planned the scam however she got caught anyways.
She shaved her young son’s hair and eyebrows to make it look like he was undergoing chemotherapy and even convincing him that he had the disease. The woman made him wear a bandana every day.
Apparently the woman received cash from tax exemptions, disability benefits and even careers’ allowance. The woman who remained unnamed for legal purposes has been involved with fraudulent activities for over 7 years. She even forged medical notes from doctors in order to be able to claim the cash.
The 36-year-old-woman, mother of five is also accused of stopping her son and daughter to be part of the school activities. The poor children thought that they were too sick for school activities.
The woman is from Berkeley, Gloucestershire, and she was charged with 11 counts of fraud, four counts of forgery and two counts of neglect of her son and daughter. Between January 1st 2008 ND My 26th 2010, two charges were filed – she allegedly assaulted, abused, deserted or exposed her son and daughter in ways that would cause pain or injury.
