Tag Heuer’s Luxurious Android Link Smartphone

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m tired of the iPhone, Blackberry, all the other models that are the best but it seems like everyone is walking around these days with the same phone. Many people I know have a Blackberry, iPhone and an Android phone. As if it were enough they have a tablet, a laptop and even a computer. Why? (Another day and time for that answer)

People having the same phone is cool, but for me it takes out the element of surprise concerning the exclusivity of one’s phone. I love to have things that are weird but interesting and that not many people share. If you are one of those people, Tag Heuer has an awesome choice of smartphone for you.

The phone includes 3G connectivity, dual-core processor, qHD display, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, 8 megapixel camera with 1080p recording, NFC and 4G radio. It also has a SIM card slot for a tri-band WCDMA experience on GSM networks. What really struck me as a bit of a bummer was the internal memory of 256 MB RAM and an 8GB memory card which you can expand to 32 GB. The phone is also pre-loaded with Android 2.2 and Tag Heuer is working on the update to Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Furthermore, it has been marketed as the world’s first luxury Swiss phone. It is water-proof, air sealed, and shock resistant and the device comes in either stainless steel, 18k rose gold, or titanium, and can be outfitted with leather, alligator or lizard skin, or pedestrian rubber.

Alligator skin is a bit extreme in my opinion as I’m for animal rights, but the pricing of  $6,000 (more or less) is actually really good in my opinion. I really expect the phone to be in the $10,000 area, but as an exclusive phone it has a great price.

About Nicole Hawker

My favorite things to do is swimming, playing tennis and watch movies, TV shows and documentaries. I like to be aware of what's happening in the world and I have to admit that I'll never understand politicians. I design and build information systems for a living. The job pays well however it gets quite tiresome sometimes. I discovered two years ago that I have some kind of passion for writing so in 2010 I started this blog in hope that people will share a piece of their mind.
