Assistant poisons actress Gabriela Spanic and family

Mexico – The Argentine national assistant, Marcia Celeste Fernández Babio, of 24 years of age was arrested and charged with quadruple attempted homicide for poisoning the Venezuelan actress and family. Since April of this year, the actress, her mother, son and the nanny began having health problems. For a period of four months this crazy woman was adding ammonium sulfide to their food and drinks.

Gabriela Spanic

Gabriela Spanic plays a villain in the new Mexican telenovela, Soy tu dueña. She hired Babio in January as her personal assistant and short after she started living with the actress. In April the actress and family was having stomach aches, vomiting, head aches, feeling weak and accompanied with fever. After a series of tests, the doctor determined that they all have high blood levels of ammonium. This could only be possible due to a period of poisoning.

Spanic started suspecting her assistant because despite the fact that she’s been living under the same roof as herself and the others, she has never been sick. She never drank nor ate any food from the house. She always used the excuse that she already ate. The police found 2 bags of  ammonium sulfide in the assistant’s room and 2 others in her bag when arrested at the Airport upon her arrival from Argentina.

According to the doctors, if she had another year, her goal of killing the actress would have been successful. Imagine that! I wonder what could have driven the woman to do such thing. The only two things I can think of is: 1) Gabriela Spanic is mean and treated her like shit (however its still doesn’t make it right)…..OR…2) She’s plain crazy, a crazy woman with a goal flushed down the toilet. If you think about it, she maybe just wanted to make her suffer because if she wanted her dead, there are easier ways than poison e.g. a Shotgun!
