Funeral for IE6!
Recently I wrote a post about how much I hate IE in general. Click to read. Today “Aten Design Group”, a design firm in Denver, Colorado is holding a funeral for the still widely used internet browser “Internet Explorer 6″. The funeral should be about “Internet Explorer”, doesn’t matter what version.

Aten Design Group said that the mock funeral was inspired by Google’s decision to phase out IE6 this month. To know more about the funeral, you can visit the funeral site by clicking here.
Not to be mean or anything but IE6 let’s face it, Microsoft has been asking to upgrade to 7 or 8 for a long time already but if you compare IE8 to another browser, it’s still crap!
According to NetMarketShare, IE8 commanded 22.5 percent of the browser market last month and despite its age, IE6 still held on to 19.8 percent of the market in February which was more than IE7. In general Internet Explorer remains by far the most commonly used Web browser, ahead of Firefox, Chrome and Safari.
It’s only because your brand new PC will comes with Internet explorer. People that uses a computer for pure pleasure (Instant Messaging, Update a Facebook page or whatever other things people are doing) don’t feel the need for another browser compared to the web developers, basically people with more expertise. But if they had a choice, they would choose another one most definitely.
