Catholic Priests’ endless scandals
On Curaçao, about 75% of the population are Christians, mainly Roman Catholic. Worldwide catholic is one of the largest religion group also. I don’t think their beliefs are a secret to the world and especially the controversial ways the priests, nuns and all that are working for this organization must behave. This week the Pope apologized for the Irish priests and their committed abuses against the Irish people. I wonder why? Why apologize? Read more…

US schools closing due to lack of funding
By the end of June, it’s expected that the US will close down 45 schools in the state of Detroit only. It’s expected that another 100 will also close throughout the nation. Many believe that the consequences of these actions of shutting down the schools may be far a greater cost than what they are trying to save now.

The Oscars 2010 deception
On Sunday movie lovers, actors and actresses all over the world enjoyed the Academy Awards Oscar show. It started off funny with a performance by Neill Patrick Harris. I have to admit that Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin did a brilliant job as well by not doing offensive or too much over the top jokes. One thing that struck me odd or maybe I’m exaggerating, is the way George Clooney wasn’t laughing at the jokes made by Alec and Steve but then again it may be part of the act. Who knows! Read more…

Because of the Academy awards, I decided to watch all of the nominated films. “The Cove” is also one of the nominated documentaries and honestly I had no idea what it was about. I started watching it and seeing all the fish they were killing in the beginning, the first country I thought of was Japan.(The film was in black & white) And it turned out to be Japan! There is seriously something wrong with some the people in this country. And the government doesn’t do nothing about it! Read more…

Should we blame the killer whale?
OF COURSE NOT!! I can’t believe how stupid people can be! I was reading what people wrote on the matter, it would just shock you. I mean a lady wrote: “He’s a trained animal and yet he doesn’t know how to behave himself towards his trainer. Therefore I believe that this animal should be punished by being executed in front of the victim’s family and the entire nation. They should let the other whales witness the execution as well so they’ll know better.” My first thought: What the F*ck? On what planet is this lady living on? Read more…

Opposites attract, but do they really?
I have a brilliant friend. He’s been my best friend since I was 3 years old. He’s a wonderful, loving and caring person. He’s educated; a biologist in fact but till this day I can’t understand what he sees in his girlfriend of 10 plus years.
