China’s Black Hawk Safety Net Shuts Down
Authorities in China shut down a website that officials think is the largest Hacker training network for computer hackers called The Black Hawk Safety Net. The web site was established in 2005 and believed to have recruited more than 13,000 paid and 160,000 free members and collected more than 1 million US dollars in membership fees.
The Black Hawk Safety Net offered lessons on cyber attacks and sold Trojan software, which allows outside access to a computer when remotely installed. The Chinese Police arrested three people who were in charge of the Web site. They charged 14 to 29 US dollars for lessons on Cyber attacks and they also sold Trojan software which allows outside access to a computer when remotely installed.
Since 2007, while investigating a Cyber attack, the authorities were tipped off concerning the existence of The Black Hawk Safety Net. Most of the suspects arrested in that case were members of the Black Hawk.
A Lot of people think it’s cool to be a hacker but in reality it’s not! Most of the bad things you do on the internet, will cost others their memories, work, time and money.
